Kega obtains ISO 27001 certification

Kega is officially NEN ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified as of 4 February 2019. Information security is an increasing factor in data protection in which we firmly believe at Kega. In fact, it is the main reason we initiated the ISO certification process. After an intensive period of preparation and a successful audit, Kega ‘passed the test’ with flying colours. And we're very proud of this achievement!

ISO 27001 is the international standard for information security management. It protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information by means of applying a risk management procedure.

The attained certificate proves that Kega has all its processes relating to information security in good order. Customers and partners of Kega can feel confident that they are working with an organisation that holds information security in high regard.

Ard van Leeuwen, partner at Kega:

It's fantastic to see that our staff take information security so seriously. In my own IT role, I was also closely involved with the ISO implementation project. I see this certification therefore as an acknowledgement of the data protection efforts we have been putting into practice every day at Kega for many years.”

The validity of the ISO certification is assessed annually by a third-party institute. Kega aims to keep developing its information security processes and, in doing so, engages in ongoing discussions with staff, customers, partners and suppliers to take information security to an even higher level.
