Campaign launch Ocean Buddies at Hoogvliet
From 6 September until 10 October, supermarket chain Hoogvliet and its customers will be diving into the wonders of ocean wildlife. Shoppers can save up for a total of 140 stickers, which they can stick in the unique Ocean Buddies album. This collector's book is filled with fascinating underwater trivia, and also tells the story of The Ocean Cleanup. To top it off, shoppers can collect seven super-cuddly Ocean Buddies toys.
Hoogvliet initiated the Ocean Buddies campaign in support of Dutch environmental entrepreneur Boyan Slat, founder of non-profit entity The Ocean Cleanup. He has developed an advanced technology to remove plastic debris from the oceans by strategically placing artificial coastlines to ‘catch’ the floating plastic.
During several sessions with the parties involved, we determined the best areas to focus the development on with Hoogvliet's mission in mind: develop interrelated communication materials that can be used for the Ocean Buddies campaign. Based on these sessions, we created a range of POS and communication materials together with the client.
Working in close harmony, Kega and Hoogvliet developed virtually all components for this campaign. Communication materials include:

Social exposure (including a 360º animation)
